The genus
This species was in the genus of Muscari and is now classed in Leopoldia because of its sterile flowers in the top of the spike. A well known genus from the Eastern Mediterranean, here represented by the two very scented species which were formerly called Muscarimia. Multiplication by seed which is formed in very decorative capsules.
