The genus

Galtonia is a very attractive garden plant with a long flowering period, and is easy to grow. The bulbs should be planted shallow and should be lifted in early autumn unless the soil can be kept dry during the winter as the bulbs are very prone to rotting during dormancy. Also suitable for large containers.
