'Rose Emperor' : a hybrid with dark pink flowers and carmin red centre is suitable for cutflowers and can be grown in well drained open ground where they make good garden plants.
The genus
An interesting wintergrowing genus with a wide variety of colours, many possibilities of use, easy to grow and a fairly good resistance to frost. Corms are flat, narrow leaves with densely crowded flower spikes upto 60cm high. The 3 hybrids proposed are suitable for cutflowers and can be grown in well drained open ground.
