Tulbaghia simmleri ‘Alba’

A bulbous rootstock with frost tender foliage. The most active growing periods are autumn and spring. The best planting periods are in the summer and late winter. The very scented white flowers appear throughout the year except during the summer period. Makes an excellent potplant.
The genus
An evergreen genus closely related to Allium ("leek" type). It mainly occurs in the Eastern Cape (South Africa) which has a regular rainfall pattern. They are not difficult to grow and will flower over a long period. Strongly recommended as a border plant in perennial gardens and for coastal gardens.
