Oxalis palmifrons

O. palmifrons is a very intereting plant, with leaves having about 25 leaflets arranged radiating outward in a circle and held horizontally just above the soil surface (when grown in full sun). The leaves are silvery and covered with tiny glistening hairs. Without a flower most people would never believe this is an oxalis. Grow Oxalis palmifrons and O. polyphyllav ar. heptaphylla in full sun in a mixture of sand and volcanic gravel with avery small amount of leaf mold. They are strictly winter growing species and tolerate cool winter night temperatures but not hard frost--many nights this last winter were below freezing.

This species prefers deep planting (15cm) which is necessary to make it flower: In the ground or in a deep pot ( with a mixture of compost and sand) Keep it moist from sept- mai dry in the summer
It is unusual that we put this species for sale again (the last year!!)
