Scilla peruviana type /100 Cal.14+
We highly recommend Scilla peruviana. Starts growing in late summer; in March flowering is announced by a large rather intriquing deepseated crown like bud. The blue flowers emerge on the outer circle, which get larger at the same time as the flower stems elongates. This goes on for at least a month untill it reaches its final height at the moment that all the flowers buds are open. The supersized bulbs give one large flowerstem (the following year there will be at least three). To be left in place for several years; it is quite frost hardy and can be used in borders. Open ground planting recommended but growing in large pots is possible. Offered in a special presentation box with several photos and complete planting instructions in 4 languages. Ideal to be offered as a present.
