Narcissus odorus regalosus

"Narcissus odorus regalosus" most likely corresponds to Narcissus × odorus 'Rugulosus' (also spelled 'Regulosus'), the single-flowered form of the Campernelle jonquil. This old hybrid, known since at least the 17th century, arose from a cross between N. jonquilla and N. pseudonarcissus (or N. hispanica). A bulbous perennial 30-35 cm tall with dark green, linear, semi-cylindrical foliage, it bears 3 to 4 erect, bright yellow, strongly scented flowers with a short lobed cup in early spring. Hardy and drought-tolerant in summer, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. (Exact cultivar identity unconfirmed.)
