Narcissus hybr; ?

Category photo (no photo of its own for this entry)
The precise identity of this garden hybrid could not be confirmed, so this entry describes the genus Narcissus in general. Native chiefly to the Mediterranean basin (Spain, Portugal), the genus comprises bulbous plants with linear leaves that produce, in spring, one or more flowers with six tepals surrounding a central corona of varying length, in shades of white, yellow, orange or bicolour combinations, sometimes fragrant. Countless horticultural cultivars, bred from crosses between species, come in many forms (trumpet, short-cupped, double, multi-flowered...). Easy to grow in well-drained soil, in sun or light shade.
