Narcissus albidus

Native to Morocco, Narcissus romieuxii subsp. albidus is a small bulbous jonquil with dark green, tubular foliage. Its cream to white, fragrant flowers, up to 5 cm long, with short narrow petals contrasting with a broad flaring trumpet, open from late autumn to early spring on 15 cm stems. It requires very free-draining soil, a sunny position and a dry summer rest, best grown under cold-frame protection in humid climates.
