Zygoret blackii

Zygoret is an intergeneric orchid hybrid genus produced by crossing Zygopetalum with Aganisia, combining the free-flowering habit and vivid colouring of the former with the vigour and heat tolerance of the latter. The epithet "blackii" could not be reliably matched to a registered grex, so the description below applies to the genus in general. These are sympodial, pseudobulbous orchids with bright green, pleated leaves, producing spikes of fleshy, strongly fragrant flowers, typically green or yellow blotched with brownish purple. They are grown in a free-draining orchid mix, under light shade, with warmth and constant humidity. Species not confirmed; description given at genus level.
