Cymbidium lua….stiamum….

The label "lua....stiamum...." is too degraded to be confidently matched to a specific Cymbidium species; it may recall a species such as C. lowianum or an old hybrid whose full name has been lost. The description below therefore applies to the genus in general: sympodial orchids with ovoid pseudobulbs and evergreen strap-shaped leaves, native to montane forests of tropical and subtropical Asia. Flowering occurs in winter to spring, on arching spikes bearing numerous fleshy, fragrant flowers in green, brown or pink tones depending on the species. Grown in a free-draining orchid mix, in bright filtered light, with a drier winter rest. Species not confirmed; description given at genus level.
