The label "ki..chum..." is too fragmentary to be confidently matched to a specific Cymbidium species. The description below therefore applies to the genus in general: sympodial, pseudobulbous orchids with evergreen strap-shaped leaves, native to montane forests of tropical and subtropical Asia through to Australia. Flowering, most often in winter, produces upright or arching spikes bearing numerous long-lasting, fleshy flowers in varied colours, sometimes fragrant. Grown in a free-draining orchid mix, in bright filtered light, with regular watering during the growing season and a drier winter rest. Species not confirmed; description given at genus level.
