Ledebouria sp2 ??

As with the other Ledebouria accessions in the collection, the exact species of this specimen remains uncertain, and the description is given at genus level. Native mainly to southern and eastern Africa, with a few disjunct species in India and Madagascar, Ledebouria belongs to the subfamily Scilloideae and comprises a highly varied group of small bulbous plants, from tiny groundcovers to larger forms popular as container plants. The often triangular to lance-shaped, semi-fleshy foliage is frequently marked with purple-brown spots or mottling on a silvery-green background. Raceme inflorescences bear small, drooping, unobtrusively coloured flowers. Easy to grow in well-drained soil, bright light, with reduced watering during dormancy.
