Narcissus gaditanus x watieri

This hybrid combines Narcissus gaditanus, a small yellow, rush-leaved daffodil from southern Spain, with Narcissus watieri, a dwarf, pure white-flowered species from the heights of the Moroccan Atlas (up to 2500 m). The hybrid's bulb produces fine foliage and a solitary, star-shaped flower in tones intermediate between the yellow of one parent and the creamy white of the other. Flowering occurs in spring. It requires a sunny position, well-drained soil kept cool during growth, and dry summer dormancy, with good cold tolerance inherited from N. watieri.
