Moraea Hexaglottis sp? jaune

The precise species could not be confirmed; the description is therefore given at the level of the Hexaglottis group, a set of species once placed in a separate genus (Hexaglottis) and now included within Moraea (Iridaceae), native to the winter-rainfall region of South Africa. The tunicated corm produces long, narrow basal leaves and a branched stem bearing flat, short-lived (one-day) yellow flowers that face upward, with divided, thread-like style branches. Flowering occurs in spring. It requires full sun, well-drained soil, and dry summer dormancy.
