Romulea Sp2?

Category photo (no photo of its own for this entry)
The precise species of this Romulea (labelled sp2 on the original tag) could not be confirmed; the description is therefore given at genus level. Romulea comprises around a hundred species of small cormous geophytes, distributed mainly across South Africa and around the Mediterranean, growing in short grassland, garrigue and sandy soils. A tunicated corm produces a few fine, often cylindrical, grooved leaves and a short stem bearing one or two star-shaped, goblet flowers, colour varying by species (white, yellow, pink, violet). Flowering occurs in late winter and spring, followed by dry summer dormancy.
