Oxalis succulenta

The name Oxalis succulenta is of uncertain application and may refer to more than one closely related taxon within the genus Oxalis, which includes numerous South African species with fleshy or tuberous rootstocks; this description therefore remains general. Like most succulent oxalis, this small perennial produces palmately divided, trifoliate leaves from a swollen rootstock and bears funnel-shaped flowers, typically yellow, which close at night and in dull weather. Flowering occurs in autumn or winter depending on the species. It is grown in full sun on well-drained soil and becomes dormant in summer.
