Haworthia gracilis

Haworthia gracilis, now included within Haworthia cooperi, is native to South Africa, northwest of the Winterhoek Mountains in the Eastern Cape. It grows on flat ground or rocky slopes, in dry grassland or karroid vegetation, often sheltered by rocks or other plants. It forms soft green rosettes of thin, incurved leaves fringed with long, regularly spaced cilia, with translucent tips that let light penetrate. In spring or summer it produces small, whitish, tubular flowers on a slender spike. It is grown in filtered light, in a well-drained substrate, with a marked winter rest.
