Narcissus Mount Hood »

Narcissus 'Mount Hood' is a trumpet daffodil cultivar raised in the Netherlands and introduced in 1937. The plant, 40 to 50 cm tall, produces narrow, strap-shaped foliage and a single flower per stem, in spring, with a broad, flared cylindrical trumpet. The petals and trumpet emerge creamy yellow and gradually whiten as they mature, giving a subtle contrast. Lightly scented, the flower reaches up to 10 cm in diameter. This hardy variety naturalises easily into spreading clumps. It requires a sunny to half-shaded position, well-drained soil, and a dry summer rest after flowering.
