Narcissus 'Mount Hood' is a trumpet daffodil cultivar bred in the Netherlands and introduced in 1937. The plant, 40-50 cm tall, produces narrow strap-shaped foliage and a single flower per stem in spring, with a broad, flared cylindrical trumpet. The petals and trumpet emerge creamy yellow, gradually fading to ivory white at maturity, giving a subtle bicolour effect. Lightly fragrant, the flower reaches up to 10 cm across. This hardy variety naturalises readily into expanding clumps. It requires a sunny to partially shaded position, well-drained soil, and dry summer rest after flowering.
