Ixia sp AC?

The name Ixia sp AC? refers to a plant whose exact species could not be identified with certainty, though it clearly belongs to the genus Ixia (Iridaceae), native to the Cape region of South Africa and comprising between 30 and 60 species. The globose corm, covered in tough fibrous tunics, produces narrow, rigid leaves in a basal rosette and a slender flowering stem up to 60 cm tall bearing star-shaped flowers in colors that vary by species. Flowering occurs from late spring into summer, lasting three to six weeks. In cultivation, ixias require full sun and well-drained soil.
