Dahlia campanulata, the weeping tree dahlia, is a tuberous perennial native to the Mexican states of Guerrero and Oaxaca, growing in tropical mountain habitats with a marked dry season. It develops enormous underground tubers and tall, ridged stems that can exceed 2.5 m, bearing deciduous compound leaves. It is distinguished by its large pendulous, bell-shaped flowers, white to pale pink with a darker center, about 10 cm across, appearing late in the season. Like other tree dahlias, it is frost-tender and best grown in mild climates, in a sunny position, on rich, moist, well-drained soil.
