Freesia corymbosa

Freesia corymbosa (Iridaceae) is a cormous geophyte from South Africa, ranging from the Great Swartberg through the Langkloof to the Grahamstown district, in fynbos and Albany thicket on sandy or loamy soils. Growing 15–40 cm tall, it bears a fan of plane leaves and a basally bent spike of zygomorphic, long-tubed flowers, most often yellow but also white, rose or bright pink, marked yellow to orange in the throat. It flowers from late winter into spring. Grow in full sun in well-drained soil, dry in summer.
