Narcissus elegans

Narcissus elegans is an autumn-flowering daffodil species from the western Mediterranean basin, belonging to section Tazettae. Unlike the closely related Narcissus serotinus, its flat leaves appear together with the flowers, and its stem usually carries several white flowers with a narrow orange cup and a pronounced fragrance. It grows naturally on dry, calcareous coastal soils. In cultivation it needs a sunny position, very free-draining soil, and a dry summer rest, like most Mediterranean narcissus species.
