Arum apulum

Arum apulum is a small tuberous species endemic to Apulia, in southern Italy, where it grows in rocky habitats and garrigue. More modest in size than Arum italicum, it produces arrow-shaped foliage and a brownish-purple spathe characteristic of the group of small Mediterranean arums. Uncommon in cultivation, it requires the same care as its close relatives: well-drained, humus-rich soil, a part-shaded position, watering during the growing season, and a dry summer rest.
