This Crinum is a garden hybrid, bred from crosses between species of the genus (often Crinum bulbispermum and Crinum moorei) and selected and named in cultivation for the quality of its flowering. Like other crinums, it develops broad, arching foliage from a large bulb, followed by large, fragrant trumpet-shaped flowers, clustered in umbels atop a sturdy stem, in summer. It is grown in full sun, in rich, deep soil, with sustained watering during the growing period, and good winter protection in cool climates.
