Brimeura fastigiata

Brimeura fastigiata (Asparagaceae, Scilloideae) is a small bulbous geophyte from the islands of the western Mediterranean, Majorca and Minorca, Corsica and Sardinia, from sea level to rocky ground inland. Only 5–7 cm tall, it bears fine linear leaves and a short scape ending in a dense, erect raceme of small bell-shaped flowers, white to pale blue or pinkish. It flowers in April and May. Grow it in a pot or alpine garden, in full sun and very sharply drained compost, with a drier rest in summer.
