This entry corresponds to a silver-leaved selection of Cyclamen coum (Primulaceae), a tuberous plant native around the Black Sea. These cultivars, related to the Pewter Group, are distinguished by rounded leaves that are almost entirely silver with little or no green, setting off the small pink to magenta flowers borne from January to March. Some selections have received the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Grow in part shade, in humus-rich, well-drained soil; very hardy, slow-growing.
