Eremurus angustifolius is a foxtail lily species native to Central Asia, from Kazakhstan to Tajikistan, growing on steppe hillsides and rocky slopes. Its rosette of narrow, strap-shaped leaves is followed in late spring by a tall stem bearing a dense spike of small, white to cream, star-shaped flowers. Grow in well-drained soil, in full sun, with a dry summer rest after flowering; the tuberous roots dislike winter waterlogging.
