brevifolia

Ferraria brevifolia is a cormous species native to the Cape Province of South Africa, growing in coastal sands and rocky areas. Like other Ferraria, it produces star-shaped flowers with frilled petals, dark and mottled, each lasting only a day but renewed in succession. Its sword-shaped foliage, shorter than in other species of the genus, gave it its name. Grow in well-drained sandy soil, in full sun; dry summer rest.
