Ferraria ferrariola is a cormous species native to the deep sands of the South African west coast, growing in coastal desert and dry scrubland. Standing 15 to 60 cm tall, it is distinguished by its pale green to greenish-yellow flowers, finely streaked with dark lines on the outer segments, and pleasantly scented, unlike many other Ferraria. Grow in very free-draining sandy soil, in full sun; dry summer rest, and protect the corm from frost.
