Fritillaria davisii

Fritillaria davisii is a small bulbous species native to the southern Peloponnese in Greece, where it grows on rocky slopes and limestone garrigue. Low-growing (10 to 15 cm), it bears one to three nodding, deep purple bells edged with green in early spring. Grow in pots or in the open ground, in very well-drained soil, in full sun, with a dry summer rest essential to the success of this rockery fritillary.
