Zephyranthes sulphurea

Zephyranthes sulphurea is a bulbous plant from Central America, in the Amaryllidaceae family, belonging to the "rain lily" group whose flowers open within days of rainfall. It produces narrow, strap-shaped foliage and sulphur-yellow, funnel-shaped flowers carried on a short stem, in summer. Easy to grow in mild climates, it requires well-drained soil, full sun, and a dry winter rest.
