Nerine pulchella is a South African bulbous plant in the Amaryllidaceae family, belonging to the same genus as the famous Guernsey lily. Its epithet "pulchella" (pretty) refers to its delicate pink to white flowers, gathered in a light umbel atop a slender stem. Flowering occurs in autumn, usually before the foliage. It is grown in well-drained soil, full sun, and needs frost-free winter protection in cooler climates.
