Pancratium zeylanicum, the Ceylon spider lily, is a bulbous plant native to tropical Asia (India, Sri Lanka, Southeast Asia), in the Amaryllidaceae family. Unlike the Mediterranean Pancratium species, this tropical plant requires constant warmth and high humidity year-round. It produces large, fragrant white flowers with a star-shaped corolla and a long tubular cup, often opening at night. Best grown in pots under heated cover or in a tropical greenhouse, in rich, moist soil, partial shade.
