Sparaxis acutiloba is a cormous plant from South Africa, in the Iridaceae family, whose epithet refers to the pointed lobes of its tepals. Like other Sparaxis, it produces pleated, fan-shaped foliage and brightly coloured star-shaped flowers, often marked with a contrasting throat, in spring. It is grown in well-drained soil, full sun, with a dry summer rest, in rockeries or pots.
