TROPAEOLUM GENERAL

This climbing or trailing genus contains 80 species, the best known being Tropaeolum majus, the summer annual nasturtium. In a mild climate, some species are evergreen while others are dormant during summer. We only offer the winter-growing species, which are better suited to the Mediterranean climate. Plant it against a 2-3m high trellis, or let it climb into a cypress or a large shrub in a sheltered spot.
