Hyacinthoides non-scripta
The species H. non-scripta is well known in northern Europe, where it flowers generously in woodlands, meadows, etc. However, this species does not thrive in [our] climate, where it must be replaced by the Mediterranean species H. hispanica
The genus
Ressemble beaucoup au genre Hyacinthus (la jacinthe indigène) mais est nettement plus tardif. Les bulbes ressemblent à des tubercules et se renouvellent chaque année. Ce genre pousse naturellement en sous-bois dans le Sud-Ouest de l'Europe et en Afrique du Nord.
