Muscari macrocarpum — grape hyacinth





Belong formerly to the genus Muscarimia. Forms a spike with urceolate musky scented green yellow flowers with a very sweet musky smell. Multiplication by seeds which are formed in very decorative capsules. Should preferably be grown in open ground.
The genus
A well known genus from the Eastern Mediterranean, closely related to the genera Bellavalia and Leopoldia. Their inflorescence is a dense terminal raceme.
