Romulea linaresii= requinii

Although sometimes linked to Romulea requienii in some catalogues, Romulea linaresii is a distinct species, found in Sicily (where the type subspecies is endemic), Crete, the East Aegean islands, Tunisia and Turkey. This small, 5-10 cm Iridaceae produces intensely violet, upward-facing, flared-cup flowers throughout spring; it is distinguished from the related Romulea ramiflora by the membranous margin of its bracts. It requires well-drained soil and a sunny position.
