Romulea requienii

Endemic to Corsica, Sardinia and western Italy, Romulea requienii grows in rock crevices and sandy ground near the coast, from sea level up to 1200 m, occasionally higher. This tiny cormous Iridaceae, no more than 10 cm tall, has thread-like leaves longer than the flower. It produces, in February-March, one to two (rarely three) small flowers with 5 or 6 rounded lobes 20-25 mm long. It requires well-drained sandy soil and a sunny position.
