Oxalis pes-caprae

Oxalis pes-caprae, or Bermuda buttercup, is a bulbous species native to South Africa, now widely naturalised around the Mediterranean where it colonises banks and cultivated ground. It forms a mat of bright green trifoliate foliage above which numerous bright yellow funnel-shaped flowers open from winter to spring. Its tangy-tasting leaves are sometimes eaten. Very vigorous, it multiplies by bulbils and is grown in full sun, in any well-drained soil, with a dry rest in summer.
