africanum

Cyclamen africanum (Primulaceae) is a tuberous plant native to northern Algeria and Tunisia, growing in light woodland, scrub and rocky ravines under a Mediterranean climate. From September to November, before or with the young leaves, it bears flowers ranging from pale to deep pink. Closely related to Cyclamen hederifolium, it differs in its generally larger, glossy, leathery leaves and flowers. Grow in part shade, in well-drained soil; not very hardy, it needs winter protection outside mild climates.
