Ail jaune

Allium flavum (Amaryllidaceae), the yellow-flowered garlic, is native to Europe, from the Mediterranean basin to Central Europe, where it grows on rocky, chalky slopes. Growing 20 to 40 cm tall, it produces a loose, nodding summer umbel (July–August) of small, lightly scented, bright yellow bells on fine pedicels. The narrow, glaucous foliage withers before flowering. Grow in full sun in well-drained, preferably chalky soil; ideal for a rock garden.
