This entry corresponds to the white-flowered form of Cyclamen coum (Primulaceae) f. album, a tuberous plant native around the Black Sea, from northern Turkey to the Caucasus. From January to March it bears small, pure white flowers with swept-back petals, lacking the pink or magenta tone typical of the species, above rounded leaves often marbled with silver. Grow in part shade, in humus-rich, well-drained soil; very hardy, tolerating dry summer soil.
