This entry corresponds to the white-flowered form of Cyclamen graecum (Primulaceae) f. album, a tuberous plant native to southern Greece, the Aegean islands and southern Turkey. From September to November it bears pure white flowers, lacking the pink tone typical of the species, above heart-shaped leaves richly patterned in green, grey and cream, borne on a large, corky tuber. Grow in part shade, in very well-drained soil that stays dry in summer; not very hardy, needing winter protection.
