Arum italicum Marmoratum

The most widely grown species is clearly Arum italicum , usually in a silvery veined form although it can be solid green. Foliage emerges in late Autumn even in colder climates and flowers appear in early summer. The large white spathe is just above ground level and even with its large size can easily be overlooked. As the foliage disappears in summer heat, the seeds ripen. The pedicel elongates, the berries turn bright orange-red and become very obvious and striking. We als ahave a red stemmed form.
