Calochortus luteus

On the tall rigid flowering stems are bright yellow flowers with purple markings (late flowering).

The genus

A very colourful genus native from California. In a Mediterranean climate it is easy to grow in open groud as well as in pots. Reasonably hardy because of its late growing period.
