chionodoxa forbesii

Native to the mountains of south-western Turkey, where it grows near the snowline above 2500 m, Chionodoxa forbesii (now placed by some authors within the genus Scilla as Scilla forbesii) is a bulbous plant producing two to three narrow basal leaves and a stem 15-30 cm tall. This bears a loose raceme of up to ten star-shaped, violet-blue flowers with a white centre, with more pointed tepals than those of C. luciliae. Flowering occurs in earliest spring. It requires a sunny position, well-drained soil, and dry summer dormancy.
