Colchicum bivonae ‘Apollo’
This very robust cultivar forms several floral shoots, each contains up to 6 flowers. The strongly chequered petals with large goblet flowers a large white centre.. Leaves are slightly pleated.

Colchicums always occur in well drained habitats. Most species flower in the Autumn well before the leaves appear in the spring. THEY WILL EVEN FLOWER BEFORE BEING PLANTED. Most species are hardy and some species are sufficiently robust to naturalise in sub-alpine meadows or in wild gardens.
