Cyclamen coum (Primulaceae) is a tuberous plant native around the Black Sea, from northern Turkey to the Caucasus, with a disjunct population in the Levant. From January to March it bears small flowers with swept-back petals, white, pink or magenta, above rounded leaves often marbled with silver. It is one of the hardiest and easiest wild cyclamens to naturalize under trees. Grow in part shade, in humus-rich, well-drained soil; very hardy, tolerating dry summer soil.
